Over labor day weekend, just after I'd started teaching this Living Multilingualism English 101 course, I went to D.C. to be the bridal liason in my friend Rachel's wedding. Everything at the wedding was in three languages: English, Spanish, and American Sign Language. What an awesome way to get immersed in this topic!
